CELLUDISC filter elements are used for the micro filtration of hydraulic and lubricating oil, preferably as bypass filter.

Rexroth depth filter elements CELLUDISC serve the microfiltration of fluids in which very high oil cleanliness is required.

Typical applications are filling filtration, supporting filtration in the bypass and flushing of hydraulics and lubricating oil systems.

The main filter variables, such as retention rate, dirt holding capacity and pressure loss are determined by the filter elements and the filter media used in them.

Main flow filters are supported by the high retention rate by means of amending filtration in the bypass (multipass).

A high retention rate is already achieved in a single run (singlepass), e. g. in filling applications.

The filter element consists of 16 individual cells in the form of a disc, whereas every cell consists of two ultrasonic-welded discs. At the edges of the relevant discs, there are spacers preventing contact between the cells and ensuring perfect filtration.

The filter material consists of compressed and impregnated cellulose fibers which are provided with auxiliary filter materials in order to support the filtration process. Filtration is effected from the outside to the inside.

Two seal rings are provided between the filter element and the filter housing as a sealing.

Zinc-free filter element construction

All filter elements of the Rexroth preferred program are made of zinc-free components thus preventing the formation of zinc-soap, in particular if water-containing fluids (HFA/HFC) and synthetic oils are used. Moreover, many manufacturers of construction and agricultural machinery stipulate the use of zinc-free machine elements for rapidly bio-degradable hydraulic oils.

With regard to the aforementioned fluids, the use of zinc-free filter elements prevents early blocking of the filter element, thus considerably increasing the lifetime of the filter elements. Therefore, Rexroth filter elements can be used universally for hydraulic fluids and lubricants.
